Hi Folks,
Have one of these where the inverter cuts after a couple of minutes - current problem is how to get the back off without smashing the set.
Any thoughts - A piccy of course - Chris.

Hi Dave and thanks,
Will sharpen a hatchet and dive in.
If it were a Hitachi/Vestel the back would fall off,
If a Profilo, would need a bucket underneath for that cappy goo,
If Samsung, a fire extinguisher before that yeller conductive glue say's 'Geronimo',
If any other sort'a Turkey, well there's that sharp hatchet for Crimble - Chris.

Hi Chris,
With all these small screen LCD sets you will find a wallpaper scraper is a handy tool to have to avoid cracking the plastic

Hi Brian, and thanks.
Guess you've been lickin' them bus winders agin - all Johnny Vegas and Tiny Tim. Bit of a Bleak house here after Crimble with all those programmable remotes based on the same (Euro) design - glad we're not.
Guess from feedback that some folks don't dig Norfolk joys - some say we're a bit different. Probably all that 'Pillage' stuff we did after thinking folks who voted 'Mamma Mia' total crap way back when decent plundering ships had a Maggie figurehead.
Never political, but, grill me a beefy Tory Catholic, won't even nibble - Chris

Hi folks,
Got the back off eventually - 3 clips either side. Found C303(1500/10) ESR of 1R5, C132 and C133 (both 470/25) ESR 0.3ish. Also replaced C304 and C312 (Both 470/25) although ESR was near zero, they're straight after the inverter supply rectifier.
Thanks again - Chris.

Hi folks,
Have to confess, backlight went off again after 30 minutes - then left it out in Norfolk's -3C for a couple of hours today and it lasted but five minutes.
In trouble, think to attach a piccy - Chris.
