I have a LG 26LX2R lcd tv, thats now dead.
Normaly you can hear the relay click when turning it on, but not a sound anymore.
The led in front of the tv was working but not possible to get it out of standby mode.
I have opened the tv and there is an Yuyang Telecom YP2632T 05.02.16 rev A.2 psu inside.
From other posts i see that the first thing to do is to check the +5V standby, and it's providing +5V.
There is no other outputs that's works.
All capacitors look good and there is no leaks.
I know I have to short-circuit (?) a PC-psu to start it, and have a feeling that I need to do the same with this one.
Anyone that can help me in what to do next to find out if this psu is faulty, and how to repair it?
Sorry for my bad english and lack of knowledge of electronics.

are you getting the correct voltages out the psu, do they match with what is stamped on the board by the connectors
-
No. I only have 5 volt standby from the board.
Have a feeling that I need to connect this output to another wire to activate this psu, but don't know how.

Thanks.
Have seen this set, but how can I be sure that it will fix my problem?
Any way that I can test them before ordering new ones?

Hi Teza,
Not met one yet, but - Capacitors look good, have you checked secondary diodes for S/C readings - just a thought - Chris.
-
They have low resistance one way and high the other way.
Believe they are ok, unless I need to take them off the printboard to check them.
-
Hi Teza,
Your diode readings seem normal, and would seem to show no obvious shorts, but do you get fast pulsing voltages on secondary diodes that might indicate some problem - Chris

Another question.
Buying this kit from UK may with shipping, cost £50 - £60 after tax/vat to Norway is included.
Too expensive I think, when buying it from Sweden will all incl be ~£18,-
But don't know how the quality is, and if the components can be used.
Know am asking for a lot now, but could someone tell me if the following is ok for this repair:
