TV starts up back light comes on for one second then no pic can see movement in background
inverter or power poss, thanks Dave.

hi dave sounds like inverter i reckon but could it be that easy ??? thats what id be goin for .dave

Had this too... twice! The second transformer from the top goes o/c or high resistance.

Never did source a transformer and had to replace the inverter.

Managed to get inverter PCB also top transformer o/c ohms sups do them will order. TV is now ok!

In Italy the Digital terrestr doesn't work in Samsung TV - series M8, R8, S8 no upgrade in ota ,but the firmware  :sign0144: ?......firmware (T-BDXPDEU00-1018),thanks all.
