Does anybody have any experience of this fault? The power supply is recycling every 2 or 3 secs, just enough for the backlights to light briefly. Occasionally it will stay on for a minute or so. Originally when it came in it would stay on for much longer, once all afternoon. Checked sockets P807 & 9 on the PS for dries and ESRs on PS caps as a matter of routine. I've changed the inverters and I've also changed Q880 on the PS just in case. Poked, prodded and pulled everything. Also unplugged the LVDS board. What's next?
Rgds, Frank.

Thanks for reply, Dave. I have already replaced the 6765 (Q880) with no success. I've ordered a signal board from Ebay as the next most likely suspect.

hi mate the only other problems iv had with these particular models were the tcon iv had two both duff replaced both and the tvs worked fine after but never had a tcon affect the power ? would be grateful to know the outcome if i remember rightly the tcon panels are fhd-cm

Hello Dave,
Yes, I suspected the Tcon but dissed it and the relays still clicked. Maybe the Tcon has to be seen to be good by the protection cct., if the relays clicking is due to a protection device. I'll let you know after replace the signal board.
Rgds. Frank.
