hi, i have a samsung ps42c7hd plasma with a fault which shows itself as the set not powering up and a relay clicking in the psu every 2-3 seconds.
clicking will stop if i disconnect control board however i replaced control board but same problem.
i have also noticed with no boards attached to power supply theres va voltage but no vs voltage upon switch on.
any ideas?

There will be no Vs while the control board is disconnected.....it supplies 5V to the VS-ON pin of the power supply to activate Vs output. Was it a good control board you put in? Do the PSU relays still click repeatedly if you only remove the heavy duty plug from PSU to Y-Main? If Y and Z board heatsinks remain cold with everything connected,
suspect the Y-Main. Are you able to activate the onboard test patterns. See attachment.
I do believe that Turnip is a superhero on these.

Hi Bruce,
Not at all, just had secondary rectifier dries which are natural considering the age of the set.
Guess you're pulling my lariat, as ever, but it's pretty good - Chris.
