hi i have just read your post did you have the standby led lit when it was faulty or not?
its just i have a 32lc56 that switches on and standby goes green but i have no backlight or sound nothing else .i originally thought bulged caps or it needed the mainboard power mods doing but the mainboard has been already modded but looks factory as instead of shorting out resistors 0ohm ones have been fitted
any help would be great

hi dave sorry i seem to have neglected to say that my psu is different to yours in the photo mines a EAX31845201
i have tried to look for a schematic but not having much luck i can get another unit for £40 but as i have spent time on the old one im determind it wont beat me.
i had a search through the forum and found another post with the same post but no replies :73:
the fault is the standby light flashes green 6 0r 7 times then goes constant green but no display or sound

Hi D/J

Off for some days trying to defeat the new big society, and stab-heartwise old East Coast beefburgers still lurking in A12 lay-bys near Ipswich.

Power/Invertor  EAY34795001 or EAY36768101
Switches to S/by after 20 mins – usually restarts and runs for a shorter period. Just B4 tripping backlight goes out. Thoughts are that it’s an invertor problem as heating invertor transformer T701(2130KP0175A-F) provokes the problem.
Dries can cause T701 to cremate (Had one)

Main LD/PD/73/75A
Tv Tony suggests doing the mods, LG 32LC56  Pics
as special inductors (fl901 through to fl906) were used but LG say to replace them with wire links, adding that invertor failure will not cause reversion to S/by, but the choke issue will. Chokes don’t check leaky or S/C but are intermittent.

Screen Drive LC320WX4-SL41  6870C-0114B

Just a thought - Chris.
