Title: JSK4180-024A Power Supply
Post by: epi on February 13, 2011,15:29:14
I started this topic in the manuals forum, here's a resume of a days schematic hunting.
This power supply is very similar to ones found in the following service manuals, SAMPO LM32SF, SHARP LC-32SH25E and SHARP LC42SB45U, if they are not in downloads I'll put them up.
I'll add here a near schematic, and pics of the psu's I have for repare with notes.
I have been sent three psu's with same fault, Normende N263LD,  on set switch on, the blue led comes on but set dead, always 5V ok, no 12V or 24V. If I sort the fault out I'll post it here, if anyone knows this psu fault let me know.

TV's main board???, the sets have been fitted new psu's and are working returned to customers, I've only been sent the psu's, so I'll have to simulate TV working conditions, with resistive loads. Won't get back to the workshop till mid next week, layed off at home, forced holiday. On looking at photo, C3 of image03 equivalent to C941 27n1KV on schematic I posted may have something to do with the fault, similar to the two 12n600V on Vestel psu's, will post results if I sort it out.

Problem, solved, culprit located  :yahoo: , should have looked at this resister first but as it was under silcon hot melt glue I overlooked it, R28 (2 Megohm) gone high.
All three boards had the same fault, my friend phoned me yesterday to say he has received another set, same fault.
Apart from Normende, does any other make use this power supply?

Hi Frank,

Well done, and you still on the sick.

When healthy, you must be quite the biz - impressed.

Still personally using father's Henley Solon 120W iron and Pifco 300 Ohms per volt radiometer (got a bit hot though on CRT A2 stuff but nifty with LCD and Plasma)

Don't have P/S listed under other makes, yet - Nice piccies -Chris.

Still on the sick, been put off till 3rd march, but I can't stay away from my workshop that long, so I sneek there now and again and fiddle around with my gadgets, don't open to the public though. Us oldies that have have been at it so long are uncomfortable without the 50w iron in our hands, must have something to solder.
The pics are done with a Sharp 770H mobile phone 1.2Mb and a magnifying lens, get some good results when the pulse is steady.

All the best
