Hello,
I have a Samsung LS19CFEKF/EN (933hd) which is being a pain it sometimes turns on and the blue light displays but no responce when pressing the power button but other times it turns on but off after a few seconds, other times the blue light goes off and then other times it works fine untill I put it on stand by again.
I have replaced all the capacitors on the power board apart from the large 450v 100uf as i couldnt find it.
I have put everything together and power it on and done a quick test and I have listed what each cable on the power board tothe main power is reading;
1) B-Dim = 1.50
2) +15v = 15.44
3) GND
4) GND
5) GND
6) +5.1v = 5.18
6) +5.1v = 5.18
7) A-Dim = 0.70
8) On/Off = 5.02
that all seems ok right?
Any ideas on what could be wrong with the lcd?
Any help or guidance you can provide will be much appreciated.
- Thank you

Also i have an old software verison;
Software Version = T-TMZLDEUC-1000
Date = 05 nov 2008
Firmware version = T-EMMA2DEUB-0106
----
I have googled and some one is using version T-TMDEUC-1003 on the same lcd tv which i believe is newer, thereis an option to manually update software but how would I do it?
-Thanks
-
just noticed after the tv has been on for a awile say aprox a day, thats stand by or actually working if it does, then the blue light goes off and the tv will not respond to any thing no blue light will come back on.
Could this be a component failing due to over heating? A dry solder joing? :dubbio:

Hi Motsey,
Guess you've sussed it by now but in some small screen size Sammies the chopper drive chip was a common intermittent drive culprit - a 1200P60 I think. All the best - Chris.
-
hi,
thanks for your reply but no luck fixing it yet - where would he chopper drive chip be located? Also can i replace myself?
Can a firmware update be done if the lcd has no usb port on it?
-Thanks
-
Hi Motsey,
Give us pics if you haven't fixed it - don't have your set listed or piccies of your P/S - yet - Chris
-
Nope still not got this fixed yet - Its still lying under my bed will drag it out and take pic's
1 thing tho I brought a new psu off ebay and it made no difference to it what so ever still random - Im thinking its something over heating and when its cooled down it works again untill it over heats

:c023:Sorry for the ultra late reply never get time to take apart the tv/monitor but did so yesterday and have taken some pictures- hope they are ok if not I can take me just let me know what you would like me to do.
Also can you identify the location, if you can from my pictures, of the chopper drive chip - can it be sourced and replaced by myself?
I look forward to hearing from you guys, got my fingers crossed
*I have attached pictures of the power board here ( I have replaced the caps on this board)

hi,try to solder a 1k resistor across the condenser connected to pin 1 of FAN7314-inverter controller-on the psu;sometimes it works.cheers
-
:c023: sorry but can you give me more info on this please I dont want to risk doing it wrong
-Thanks
-
hi im not expert
try to change the photo coupler.
-
Would this work on this model?
1. Short out the eeprom pins 5 & 6 ( the two legs with the resistors ).
2. Turn on the power. - Instead of the usual noticeable relay click, you get a faint click, the backlight stays off, nothing else happens.
3. Wait around 1-2 secs ( anything longer than this NEVER seemed to work ).
4. Remove the short
5. Press info, menu, mute, then power - In that order individually, one at a time.
6. TV should come on with noise picture and the service menu.
7. Navigate to reset to go back to factory defaults and you're away....

From the pictures it looks like the model number is; PW12204ST but cant see a BN number so will open up the tv again tomorrow and look at the PSU for a BN number

Hi Motsey,
Just had a thought, had problem on another 19" Sammy where the inverter trannie with similar numbers was near O/C one side secondary - Chris.

Sorry I dont understand this reply - can you translate it into laymens terms :sign0085:
Also the power board number is BN4400177 or PWI2204S
I have tried a new power board I got from a seller awhile ago but it made no difference what so ever.
So could it be the screen it self or maybe the main board (BN41-01086A) or maybe even the ribben style white cale which connects the board to the screen (BN96-087540A)
- Thanks for your help so far guys

Hi Motsey,
As you've changed the power/inverter board (for a working one, we hope) I don't think the inverter trannie (on the power/inverter board) is your problem, I would tend to go for the Main board.
Best of luck - Chris.
