Title: Samsung Syncmaster SM400p fault
Post by: The.Assessor on February 26, 2011,14:12:33
Hi All - great forum.

Can any one help with this fault please.

On start up, my Samsung Syncmaster SM400p picture strobes for about 2 secs, then appears to alternate to flashing quarters of screen. It does this for maybe 3 secs before settling on 2 alternate corners diagonally which are back lit and 2 that are not.  The back lit quarters are low in luminance and are full quarters of the screen. Leaving the set on for a minute helps with the blue screen becoming a little brighter eventually with the picture disappearing after about 5 minutes.

I have changed all of the panels to no avail including the 2 invertor panels. I still have the same fault whatever I do.

Can any one confirm a LCD screen fault?.

I thought you guys would appreciate something different to My Samsung clicks....................

Thanks in anticipation - Richard.

Hi there,

Nothing listed here, and as you've changed all panels, and without any screen piccies suspect screen must be the prob - well, there's now't else but the cabinet  - Chris.
