Title: bush idlcd32tv16hd
Post by: johnstheone on March 29, 2011,05:48:35
anyone got an ipos 150 rev1.8 psu board for a bush idlcd32tv16hd. I found two bulging caps which I replaced, now have sound but no picture. have been advised to also change the 3.15a 250v fuse located at f2 on the board, but have been unable to source this axial fuse anywhere.

regards

john

sound but no picture. replaced bulging caps rated 10uf 450v. still no picture, but little red led on psu now flashing. found a post where someone had the exact same problem, then found that the green fuse had blown as well.  after this was replaced tv worked.  i have desoldered the fuse and circuit tested it and get no reading. the tv still has sound with this fuse removed.

In my experience fuses rarely go for no reason!! Doug.

Hi Doug

I assumed the fuse blew when the two capacitors blew.

hi
i read this topic and am a bit confused. was the fuse duff?
if it was replace it, if not, check the two white wires going to the backlight the connector sometimes gives problems as the crimps go a bit dicky.
good luck

Hi folks,

Had this problem a couple of years ago - sound and flashing red led, lower left P/S.

Never discovered the answer but donated panels to a couple of Quuq folks with other problems, they said the bits did the biz

Well, it's one answer - spinning the prayer wheel - Chris.

Hello,
Those two capacitors you've changed are a common problem for no backlights on this power-supply.
If you have sound, I should think the P.S. is working Okay.
I would check the SMD fuse(s) on the inverter board, it's a pig to get at, (you have to remove the power-supply, cabinet etc.).
Good Luck,
John

Hi Watteau,

What about that flashing red led lower P/S left ?  - had the prob when set would function normally for some while - then the LED flash - sound OK - but no inverter - every cap checked OK with ESR meter. Next day, just the same.

Eventually farmed out panels to other Quuq heros with different problems - still curious - Chris.

Hi Chris,
I wonder, was the inverter PCB one of the panels farmed out?
It could an intermittent problem on this PCB, and as, daz said,
poor connections are worth a check
Regards,
John.

Hi John,

It was me what farmed out my panels after I couldn't resolve my flashing 'RED LED' issue - checked all caps and soldering - no dice.

Both folks who got the Main and Power-Inverter said the panels/bits cleared their probs - much more info listed but it gets a bit tedious.

Didn't clear my flashing Red Led, but as I now have just a screen and no panels - bit relaxed and waiting for the next set  - Chris.
