Sorry TV TONY. New to your forum. I am a long retired radio /tv Engineer with my apprenticeship commencing 1950. So not without a grounding in basics of the trade.I am sure I can cope with fault findingbut the use of a schematic diagram would make this much easier, hence my initial request.

Hi, Hoody,
Had something like it in an LD1930W an analogue 16:9 where the SM input fuse was O/C for no obvious reason - replaced it with 5A - set had a Vestel type 4 pin power supply.
Hi Tony - anything on LG42PC1D S/by power ? - Doing an oil change on a Murphy LOPT whilst waiting for the U25 to appear on Ebay - Chris.

Hi Tony, The power supply on this set is from an external AC Adaptor ( !9 volt 3.42amp ) This voltage is apparent on PCB but due to my eyesight (poor these days,) i was unable to check further. I have to admit my failure to move forward with modern technology even to the value markings on components Had this set been of vintage valve era I'm sure I would have coped with the problem of a grandaughter TV breakdown.
Thanks also to Turnip for his input

Hi Tony,
Must confess, while working bench at Rediffusion Norwich used always to light fags on the 3000/3500 jelly-pot LOPT output - just to check -
Returning one day after a liquid lunch, saw Jesus after re-lighting a rather damp short end - now happy all the day - stiil poor though - Chris.
