Title: any LG 42PG3000 experts about

Hello,
The problem with this one is a blank screen displaying V3.20.1  with no remote functions,can anyone help?

Sounds like the main board has died! I had a brand new lg that had smashed screen, think it was PQ3000 but would need to check

your main board has not died, i work for lg and when i get a moment ill post the fix, you may need the service remote which i may loan you, will reply in 10 mins with fix

i think there is a firmware fix - nice and simple on this model using a usb stick
but i have not got this

hello, on the service remote there are some codes additional to the standard lg codes, you press the instop button, and you must not unplug the set, then a full retune is done, and it cures issues, the remote is available from chs but for something that might be used once its a dear item, we have a few of these remotes and we can lend you one if you want. 07955 108302, take care
 there are some detailed instruction which i will send you as a wrong keypress can upset the flash

Hi Tony,
I have just found this thread after having the same problem with a 42PG3000...
However I suspected a main board failure and sourced a replacement, this however was from a 50PG3000,
the board works but as the panel size is different its not 'quite' right. I can't find a way of changing the panel size thru (MENU + MENU) or (OK + OK).
Wondering if you may be able to help
