Hi there
I know it is an old fault, but mine has decided to be erratic, by going into standby and not going back. You need to switch it on and off from the mains switch at the back then it will reboot from the front panel/remote.
Occasionally I get sound but no video.
I am based in the Luton area but disabled, could do a board swap but not really OK with component leel repair but was in PC repair down to board level many moons ago, aah happy days.
Thanks in advance
S
John

hello willy, stuck in standby is common but they never come out on their own, i have placed several postings on here in the past about these, it has nearly always been the flash data corrupt, but as you say you can get it to come on i dont think this is your problem. are any of the caps swollen on the psu, we had that a few times, there were two types of psu fitted on these, can you post a piccie of yours please and well go on from there, we have both types in stock but unfortunately out of stock of the main pcb

Hi Tony,
1st thank you very much for your prompt reply
2nd I "found" you previous thread whilst googling so am glad that the "Maestro" has decided to respond to me!
I will try this weekend to enter the bowels of the back of the telly and see if I can take some "inaction" shots for you.
Take care and have a good weekend.
Regards
John
PS The willy came from when when I worked with chocolates and stuff! :57:
