Title: samsung no colour

Hi, I've got a Samsung le40r88bd with no colour after changing bulging caps on psu. Any ideas? Thanks, Doug

Thanks Daz, I was looking for an easier solution but you're probably right. any one know a good source for 24c256bn?? oug.

hi dougc, had a weird fault after changing the caps once if you go back to april 13 on the forum you will see what i mean . had to go into service menu then option and turn from on to off . if you read it may help you

heres the settings i posted some time ago if you want to check them in the sevice mode, or you could use a 24c64 they are cheaper than the 24c256 and charles hyde do both of them.

Hi Daz,

Suggested a while ago that some sort of standing advice on certain topics (bit like Wikky) might exist on this site - ignored, of course.

Last time I re-mentioned your advice on this biz, nearly got hung by our Sparky for plager-something.

Guess our Dave reads back-threads and makes the needy pound  - Chris.

worth remembering also save old eeprom chips fit them to
another faulty sammy and it sets it self
