Hello
I have a sammy LE40M73BDX.
I have spurious white lines, never the same place on the screen and seems depending of the picture displayed.
Line is there even with internal DTT tuner or with external video.
A screen shot of one white line ( never the same place so LCD screen is ok)
I tried to look on internal cables. I did not change any of capacitors on power supply.
If you have an idea..
Thank you

Hi,
"Never the same place" is curious - does this rule out screen drive and/or screen ? - Chris.

Taken from the Samsung manual:
The picture on an LCD panel is generated by plotting the picture using the x and y axis. Each pixel is given an address and is turned on or off as required to generate a likeness of the required picture. If a failure in the ribbons connecting the display panel to the screen PCB occurs in the Y axis there may be shown missing pixels or indeed lines of blank info on the screen at various positions as the TCon PCB is unable to complete the addressing sequence along the corresponding axis.
I think that means if a ribbons faulty there may occur lines at various positions position on the screen not because the connectors along the side are faulty but due to the fact the corresponding connector along the top isnt allowing the info to get to that bit of the screen, in short I think what you have is likely to be a screen fault in my humble opinion.

Hi Jimca007 - nice one,
The thought that prob is never in the same place seems to rule out a screen prob after reading your last.
Have noticed that screen problems usually are varied (if at all) only by screen temperature
Curious - Chris.
