Title: Viewsonic N4066W - picture size problem
Post by: Turnip on August 27, 2011,10:38:47
Hi Folks,

Have one of these where after changing PS caps for a stuck in S/by problem, pic was as below - bit short of height in every mode - any thoughts ?  Chris.

Forgot to mention the caps - CS21 and CS22(1500/16) CS19(220/35) and CS7 and CS25(1000/35)

Hi Chris

This might sound a bit obvious for a man of your calibre, but I assume you have scoured the Menu's for an aspect setting??

Other than that I would try a factory reset

Hi Brian and thanks,

Thought you were about to say it were divine retribution as I had used Wiltsgrove's finest 2200/16 (low ESR) instead of original 1500s that I don't stock 'cos odd values are expensive and a bit pointless.

After about an hour the screen became normal sizewise - no idea why

Always told that Norfolk were God's county - guess we get special down-loads - Chris.

Hi Sparky and thanks,

Seems that the height bit is the least of my problems - the inverter can cut after half an hour so checked all the remaing PS caps and found them OK.

Power supply is a FSP276-3F01 - a nice well spaced out unit with lots of cooling, the Inverter is a Hansol H140024W21-M with all the tubes in series - if anyone's got one to try.

Got this main board feeling, it's a 736TA3288RF12 if anyones got one.

Also a sinking feeling - Chris.
