Title: lg philips lc171w03 lcd panel
Post by: techno on September 03, 2011,05:57:51
Hi all
I have a fault on this panel, after half an hour on half the screen disappears and lines appear,i think its a component breaking down to heat.Im pretty sure its down to cap c74 on the tcon.Does anyone know the value of this cap or where i might get a schematic of this panel.
thanks

Sorry to get the old doomsday hat on but have to agree with sparky- far more likely to be the ribbons breaking contact from the screen as the panel heats up with the backlights.
If you see previous threads myself and others had some success with a wee foam pad between the ribbon and the metal screen frame don't think its by any means a cure all but def worked on the one I had and to the best of my knowledge its still working

Thanks Sparky and Jimca for your input, after further testing i found that it is a ribbon fault and will try the foam suggestion
