Hi Netdent,
Perhaps a duff screen, not so unusual - try twisting set at the top, can show up screen probs - Chris.

Hi Chris, it's picture perfect! just wrong way round maybe it's from Australia?

Are you sure you put the screen in the right way up? :86:

Hello,
If they are the same screens, have you tried swapping the control pcb's?
Regards,
John.

Hi netdent,
Just noticed you initially said the upside-down pic was just one fault with the set -

Ok it's strange! I had another t-con board but it failed to work the screen, must be faulty, the Daewoo had a duff screen but was otherwise working perfect, the polaroid had issues with picture (suspected av board fault) but pic was also upside down? when I transplanted the polaroid screen to the daewoo it worked perfect but still upside down! screen is fitted correctly I was tempted to fit upside down but would need to extend the invertor wires, might still become an option?
Only thing I can think of maybe the tcon board has an eprom and has been set that way? but would not be correct from the poloroid it came from
thought might be changeable in service mode on the daewoo? dowloaded the manual it says you need service remote but not even got the standard remote? also no mention of rotating the image???
what do you guys think go for the easy option fit lcd upside down inside the case? or try and fit the stand to the top joking!!!
cheers Ronnie

Is the Picture "rotated" (i.e fully reversed) or "upside down" (i.e half reversed, like looking at it in a mirror)
If it's fully rotated I would rotate the screen and alter the wiring. Inverter cables should be easy, just as long as the tcon cable reaches, that would be a lot harder to extend.
There might well be a setting in the service menu, but that doesn't help unless you want to go and buy the service remote control.

Hi Dave, yes if you turn tv on its head viewing would be normal, I should have rotated screen when I had it stripped! tcon cable can reach ok, its only the invertor loom to extend,
I think thats the way forward, will rotate the lcd, its a nice telly with freeview etc

Hi netdent,
Get a wall bracket - no-one would know if you took the stand off and said the top mounted speakers enhanced the treble - will be all the fashion next year - Chris.

That was an option Chris, I decided to bite the bullet and reverse the panel, all done now and working a treat
