Post by: blue026903111 on October 09, 2011,13:44:23
I am replacing a number of capacitors on my Samsung 32" lcd. i have ordered and received capacitors of the same uf, voltage and temp but some are a different size to the originals, does this matter as long as the values are the same.
also can anyone tell me what the difference is in the various series of capacitor are.

Hi

It doesn't matter about the physical size of the capacitor, as long you have enough room on the pcb.

It's best to fit 105 degrees caps these days even if the old one is 85 degrees, this will prolong the life of the capacitor, it just means it will operate at a higher temperatures.

Buy a low ESR capacitor if possible as well
