Title: Alba LDVD1538WDCR
Post by: Turnip on October 19, 2011,06:38:44
Hi folks,

Have one of these in - rocker mains switch O/C as usual. Found that at switch on, red led glowed but set wouldn't fire up. Changed the 4 PS secondary caps although they read OK - same problem.

Flick the rocker then set fires up - doesn't seem heat sensitive - any thoughts ?

Found the common interface plunger breaks off on fairly cautious back removal.

Hi,
Was this the type of rocker switch with a momentary contact, and not the normal type of switch?
Regards,
John

Hi John,

Switch was a normal type, was thinking of one of those devices on main board perhaps where voltages are zeroed at switch on (forget the device name)

Took set into warm environment (the house) and was OK next day - crap pic though, with just one tube to light the screen - Many thanks - Chris
