ok chaps, had a hitachi l26h01u come in yesterday with a green shadow. found a few caps in the power supply a bit low change them but still the same this green shadow only comes on when the set has been on while, my thoughts are main board.but welcome any of your thoughts thanks ps i'll get you some pictures tomorrow

Only screen faults I have had with these are blank white screen at switch on (chei mei panel).

Green shadows may be a faulty LVDS cable, soon be able to tell with a photo.

Hi Shaun,

Lots of other screen problems occur - Slow moving picture, odd vertical lines/bands either missing or the wrong colour, blank screen, several part pics looking like a field fault on a CRT set - plus odd things that happen when the screen warms and cools - and all without a screen face fracture.

Sparky will know lots more - Lets hope for a Tcon failure - Chris.

cheers guys, i'll change lvds cable hopfully this may clear it but tcon board  on the back of me mind thanks
