Title: LG 50PS3000 KEY LOCK

Hi.We have a LG 50PS3000 in key lock mode,The customer said they were watching tv when it went of for 5 secs then came back on locked on channel 5 and you cannot change channels.The remote works but you cannot access all the menu functions.We have tried to go into service mode (pressing both menu buttons together) but it just comes up KEY LOCK.Anyone had this problem or know how to factory reset.Thanks earlybird. :c017:

Hello, lg recently changed their policy on key codes, it was 0000, that was easily cracked, then they went to 7777, again easily cracked, it is now 0413, but don't tell anybody, that is from the technical web site, but i cant give you the password and user name for that, more than my job is worth, good luck

Thanks for the quick reply Tony ,but we had already managed to enter the 7777 code and changed it to 0000 for convenience. but still cannot access all the menu options.Any more help would be great.A similar fault has cropped up on other forums without any solution being found .Thanks earlybird

been on lg site and the forums say it is probably in hotel mode, judging by your symptoms, unfortunately you need the service remote, i will put one on the bench to verify this tomorrow

Thanks TV TONY you were spot on the tv was in hotel mode,we got a service remote and did a factory reset and the tv is back to normal.Thanks earlybird
