Title: HI all, MD 30112 fault, no powerup, flashing LED's.
Post by: chrisdude on November 20, 2011,09:53:18
Hi Guys, I have a faulty 32" MD 30112, now firstly why am i bothering?
The answer is firstly I just find it incredibly interesting. Secondly I was given this TV for free and plan on using it as a secondary recording studio monitor.
The symptoms are, on powerup the led flashes green once, and then red 6 times. On green the screen powers up for a millisecond.

Below are the caps I have replaced so far. The PSU is a 04TA069I.

Can anyone give me a clue on the symptoms as to what I should look for? Or a service manual maybe?

Sounds like a faulty inverter!

I do not think so, the screen flashes on green. It really feels like a component to me.

Hi C/D,
If you check Quuq back files on your Profilo PS you'll find lots of bits listed to replace, otherwise, what inverter - some Quuqer might have one - Chris.

Second, I am new to this mate, been learning over the last 2 months with great success. But dude you got to explain that to me. Ask me ANYTHING about guitars and recording and I am all over it.  :57:

Hi C/D,

If you enter PS number/set model in the search box, pretty sure somthing will pop up. Most Profilo PS are similar-ish faultwise - Mate/Dude.

Confess my guitar stuff was back in the 60's where we did real Trad Jazz at local pubs with copious pints lined up - ah well - Chris
