Hi Guys, Good Day
This 32 inch samsung is stuck in Standby without any flicker. I have ESR all the Caps on PSU board and seemed to be ok. Only one standby 5v Rail is present and none of the other rails are present. Very weird voltage reading every where. Your suggestion will be much appreciated. Regards

Hi Jeet,
There is history of bad ESR caps on the secondary 24v line - what PS is fitted - Chris.

Hi Chris
Thanks for your reply. PS Brd BN44-00214A is fitted in the LCD. ESR all the caps and seemed OK unless these two 24v line capacitors 680uF 35v are not telling the truth. I havn't changed them but I could try changing them if they could bring the life back. Regards

Hi Jeet ..
Sorry I have no specific info on this fault ..but it does sound like a faulty psu panel ..
As Chris says ..faulty caps would be the first place to look ..
But at least the psu board is listed as in stock and available it CHS ..
I'm not usually one to give up repairing to component level without a fight ..but the board is approx £50
..less if you have an account..
So at least you have an option if it becomes neccessary
good luck m8
Evan
...also ..might not be relevant ...
but here is the list of common failure components on the psu board ..
I guess they're worth cold checking where posible..
•ICM801
•QM801
•QM802
•DM802
•DM804
•RM811
•RM813

Hi Parton
Thanks for your answer to my problem much appreciated. I have just found a schematic of the psu and I will now try to pin point the fault on this board with the clues you have given me. I have never given up on any electrical and electronic equipments till all the possibilities are exhausted. I love fault finding upto component level as I am one of those oldie who got passion for this sort of work. I will Let you know when I sorted this problem. Regards

Hi jeet,
Slap you if you don't - all the best - Chris

faulty settings eeprom on mainboard?
256KBit Atmel 24C256. usually near CI card slot on the back of the mainboard.
markings:
ATMLH[3 digit datecode]
2[some letters]
when it's disconnected from the board (or damaged .. i.e.: no response from it), symptoms are the same (stuck in standby, no reaction whatsoever)
