Title: 42pfp5532d/05 No On Screen Selection for HDMI

HI
Has anyone come across this fault..I have not seen the TV was just offered it today...When you use the source button a menu will pop up and HDMI is not in the list but obviously there is a couple of HDMI ports connected to SKY and DVD...also they have turned everything off at the mains and booted the TV up first for any handshakes needed from theTV to the SKY/DVD player

Aparantly has the latest software installed too

Had a similar thing once where you had to choose ext-4 and ext-5 for the hdmi ports.

Hi thanks for your response...got a little more info..the tv was fine in the week then turned off by the remote turned back later on in the day the source list had shrank to just

TV
Digital
Ext

Thats your lot...no scarts, etc etc

The SSB does sound like it has major software problems...which is unususal for a philips :s_laugh:

Fixed:

For anyone with the same fault.

Enter Service Alignment Mode (SAM)

Goto Options
It will give you a selection of 7 options....choose "option 4"...I found the fault here as the bit value was 0...I changed this number to 255...(As explained in Service manual>Alignments...(Chassis No=C7.2E+PAP Available upon request))
Go back
Press Store

Done...Everything on the source list has returned

I did also enter Service Mode and clear the error buffer as there were 5 faults in there.

Hope this helps anyone else with the problem
