I have a jvc 26" lcd model LT26C31BJE that is does nothing , no standby light light, when plug in the fan runs and thats it?

Hello not to sure about this model without seeing it but in most Jvc's inside a metal can you will find a microprocessor pcb, and on one side you may find 1 or 2 eprom memory Ic's mounted in white holders to the pcb.
The procedure is to remove smd Ic from its holder (observing correct way around)
Remove the holder from the pcb and clean off the solder
Remount the smd Ic directly to the pcb. (observe correct way around and double check that no pins are shorted)

The holder goes dry jointed and gives poor connections to the memory Ic,
