Title: techwood 42832 hd fault
Post by: billy no mates on December 12, 2011,17:30:59
hi
i hope someone could possible help me out
i was given a techwood 42832hd digital tv a few weeks ago
original fault was no power stuck in standby
changed all caps for new decent ones in power supply 17pw16-2 v2
and tv powered up with a white screen after being restarted a few times i got a normal screen with search for channels but with lines ripppling across the screen after so long these would freeze and the the screen would slowly fade until a completely white screen
power board has been checked and all voltages are stable e.g no fluctuating 24v supply solid at 24.4v as are all others
i was thinking t con board but thought id ask on here

thanks for any advice anyone can give on this in advance
 regards
billy

ps other boards are

17mb12-3 v2 main board
and auo T370xw02 vc ctrl bd (37T03-C00 ) t-con

hi guys

ive been looking for a new t-con board for above set ....but from scouring the tinternet for hours im beginning to think the t-con board the was in the tv originally was the wrong one, the one that was in was :-
auo t370xw02 vc ctrl bd (37t03-c00 )
which while i was searching for on one site it was listed for a 37" model

on the site i looked for new parts its a completely different board
http://tvpartsfixit.co.uk/?SiteMap=Yes&Manufacturer=Techwood&Type=LCD&Model=42832+HD+DIGITAL&Search=6870C-0204B

so i dismantled the set again looking for the lcd panel model and got this

manufactured 08/37
model no:- T42xwo1 vc
au optronics xxxxg
made in china (sii)

but i cant seem to find any way to comfirm which t-con should be fitted

please does anyone know of a good site that i can cross reference the screen to t-con or any other way of checking ??

thanks guys for any help
regards
billy  :13:

Not a t-con fault, definitely screen fault. Major problem white screen from cold with AUO panels due to poor tab bonds, Chinese and Turkish rubbish but keeps me in work :yahoo:.

To confirm give the bezel a thump and it will bring back the pic for a spell.

99.999999% duff screen I'm afraid. Classic symptoms for an AUO panel. :c023:
