Hi Kevin ...
The fact that you can temporarily fix this by applying pressure to the screen ...more likely indicates a faulty lcd panel rather than Tcon board ...
Also suspect the ribbon connections bonded to the screen ...
On some sets its possible to strtegicly place thin strips of rubber trapped in place with the metal outer frame applying the neccessary pressure to 're make' dodgy connections ..
but this is trial and error at best ...unreliable ..and temporary ..
The only real cure is to relace the panel ..but thats expensive ..
Might buy you some time to get saving for a replacement though..

Hi Kevin ..
Dont Do Anything with the flexible ribbons which connect the screen to the tcon board ...they are NOT replaceable or fixable ..
The advice I gave you was simply to pack around the faulty one to apply more pressure ..
The fact that you have disturbed them ..and the picture is back ..sort of proves my point ..
If its now working ...leave well alone ...paricularly as you say you don't know what you are looking for ..
You could end up making things a helluva lot worse..
As to the buzz ...no idea what you have done ...
Check all leads are properly reseated in the correct sockets ....and all screws are back as they were ..
but please don't try changing a ribbon ...It CANNOT be done ..unless there is a socket at each end...
Most go straight into the screen...
If yours dont ...and ARE socketed at each end ...just clean contacts with meths on a paper towel or cotton bud...reseat them and cross your fingers and hope the problem doesn't come back
