Title: Hanspree JT01-32E2-Fort Knox...Getting rid of the glooop
Post by: scooby-doo on December 22, 2011,07:36:27
OMG...I have just had the pleasure of taking one of these things apart with what looks like an inverter issue...What a  load of crap these things are...who thought of that design.

The trouble, now I have finally got to the inverter is that its got that white rock hard crap stuck over every fet..normally I can get it off quite easily, but this is stuck solid .Is there any magic forumla to get this stuff off...apart from a chisel..

Thanks as always in advance

Hi S/D,

Had one in a while ago - built like a battleship. Mine had an inverter fuse gone - liked the set so much I scrapped it. My board was DAC-24T042 R05A - if you want it for bits - just postage - Chris.

Just the stripping of the dam things...these aint your normal 8 screw samsung...And to top it off got the dam thing working and was amazed to see it had 2 hdmi sockets but NO Freeview installed. What a waste

Hi S/D,

Just think of the scrap value - could buy us another ship to beat those Argies - again.

Admit, not so keen on Penguins, they do it between their toes,

I Keep trying - Chris

PS - Confess reply is a bit political, for folks thinking I've lost the plot - again

To get the glue off, try freezer spray. It becomes brittle and snaps off. Works particularly well with.ldvs leads that are glued in

Hi Andy,

Good thought - have tried both natural and heated removal - usually dicey - contacts/print fly everywhere, will try freezer - thanks - Chris
