Title: Toshiba 32A3030DB LCD
Post by: sparkman001 on January 08, 2012,08:10:37
Hi Everyone, Ive just got this set, Toshiba 32A3030DB come in from a mate. Its an intermittent fault, It will come out of standby and power up, with sound, but no back light. Other times it will come on as normal. Seems to occur when its been left in standby for some hours. Shining a light onto the screen I can see the picture is there.
Before I go delving in there, has anyone come across this fault before? My immediate thoughts may be caps in the psu secondary in the supply for the inverter board. Any clues?
Thanks
Bill

Hi Bill,

Don't yet have panel info not yet listed, new chum - a cold set prob might indicate PS secondary caps - really need more info - Chris.

Thanks Kilroys, that bulletin was really helpful. Components replaced on inverter board and set now working fine again.
