Hi all
I have a BAUER DTK47 tv with a cracked screen, other than that it works perfectly,
Does anyone know where I might get a screen? I have tried ebay, the net, several companies, the only ones I have found so far are one in a broken tv in America which by the time I've paid the cost of it, shipping and import fees it would be cheaper to buy a new tv
and a new one in China, again it comes to stupid money.
The LCD panel part number is LC470WUN-SAA1 (LC470WUN-(SA) (A1)
It seems the WUN panels are rare beasts.
On the offchance, I dont suppose anyone knows of another panel that would work?
I just dont like scrapping a nice tv
2ndly does anyone know who makes these tv's?
Edit: I believe the Baird CN47BAIRD is the same tv and uses the same panel

A screen that size wherever you buy it from is going to cost silly money. Also these sets are dreadful chinese junk, comes under several badges Bauer/Baird/Haier. The Baird is sold by Brighthouse, bought in for peanuts, sold to stupid people who get ripped off by paying weekly at crazy interest rates ( Brighthouse used to be known as Crazy George)
Not worth fitting a screen at any cost in my opinion, strip it and sell the PCB's.

best place to source one ( unofficially of course ! ) is to drop in from time to time on your local refuse recycling depot and keep an eye out for a scrapped set with an intact panel....a wee bung to the lads in the depot should help facilitate your procurement!

I wish that worked at my local tip. It's more than their 'job'sworth'. But we keep trying!!

God Doug if that were to happen here it'd leave me really stuck 90% of the sets I rework for sale come that route, the guys i know who i've dealt with for many years pop them in their car when its quiet and I go over to their home at night and pick up keeps them right and its more convenient for me
