Hi folks,
Have had several of these on the heap where set won't fire up. Had another dropped scrap one in today and did a bit of panel swapping - found my best prospect fired up with the Blue LED and then a good picture/sound only at odd times, otherwise now't for no obvious reason.
Set is of course a Vestel, with 17IPS14-4 and 17MB25-1 (note that both panels have significant variations but with the same part number on different sets)
Hoping for 'useful' suggestions - Chris.
PS - Out of interest, thought it might be a STR-W6253 prob - worth a shot but scarce and expensive here, so ordered a few from China - will have some spares for a few Dollars less.

Hi Chris ...
On non startup psu pcbs ..
Its always wise to suspect the FAN73XX chip (surface mount)
I'm assuming this is the set fitted with this chip of course ..
Relatively cheap at CHS ..
Well worth getting a couple in stock ...assuming that I have the correct set in mind.
easily replaced with a bit of solderbraid accross the pins to apply heat evenly as you lift..
..or better still ..ChipQuik solder is your best buddy.
