Title: philips 42" glass front
Post by: dougc on February 07, 2012,13:12:19
Hi All, I require a glass front for Philips 42pf5521d. Could probably collect from almost anywhere. Cheers, Doug.
(I'm assuming the glass can be replaced separately and is not an integral part of the plasma panel!)

Hi Doug,

Couldn't you just go down to a glass supplier, or cut your own from Council tip secondary double glazing scrap.

Note that Northern folks still have Council tips, unlike some Southerners, who now don't - Chris

PS - met a few, kicked in for insurance reasons, pehaps - always normal window glass.

Hi Chris, Must admit I'd thought of toughened glass. I'm not sure whether it's a separate part or bonded to the screen. Going to have to bite the bullet & strip it right down!(nightmare) Thanks, Doug

Hi Doug,

You love it -  but most old plasma seem to have an ordinary glass screen in front of the PDP.

My probs are almost always LG Z-Sus phuts.

Think to refuse any more ancient silver non-DVB LG's Plasma's for mending, as we can't get any LG Z-sus repair bits-cheapish - Chris
