Post by: Tulwar on February 15, 2012,16:45:17
 Hi,
would appreciate some advice please... had a problem with a Samsung 32" LE32A457C1D
in that I had a 'whitish' vertical 'stripe' on the right hand side.....the remaining 3/4 of the screen was black. Back lights all working. Replaced the T-con board and now have a blue screen, tried 'menu' etc no display .....should I be looking to replace the main AV board  bn41-00981b. Are there known issues with the AV ....as a footnote, and it may be relavent ....I get 'hissing' from the speakers ...

All help and advice greatly appreciated, thank you

Have visually checked the Main AV board no obvious burning .....ribbon cable to T-con, removed and re-seated.
Also applied presure to ribbon connections whilst TV on (in case of poor contact) ....still no joy.

No picture from any of the inputs (scart, HDMI etc) just sound and blue screen. Voltage supply from PSU to AV is fine. Still no menu display, 'source' list display etc ....just the blue screen.

Has the Main AV board any known issues ? I don't want to replace the board only to find the problem has not been resolved.

   Please, any advice

         Regards David
