Title: I think i just made an expensive mistake

Hi, got samsung lcd LE40R81B with a black segment on right hand side. Everything else works fine. I could get full picture for a few sec if i unpluged and repluged main to tcon board, but then i gradually went.
I was wiggling that connector and smoke apeared from just below the connector ( dont use phone while fixing tv). I cannot see any damage apart from one slightly dodgy transistor marked up ic1108_lcd ( 4435b ch l74a on top) - can't find datasheet for that one :(
My questions are:
1- black 10cm wide right hand segment - is that panel faulty or tcon?
2- why samsung has so many different model numbers for the same looking screens?
3- can i use same looking main av board even it is from different model number set?

hi
think screen faulty they have had problems with tabs on screen connectors
