Title: DMTech LT32DT
Post by: sabre504 on February 23, 2012,03:36:34
Hi all i have in a DMTech LT32DT running a PS3200 PSU

Starts up ok but after 10 mins sometimes less the picture distorts with what looks like static interference
horizontally across the screen .
I have opened the back and no visible bloating of any caps (i know that means nothing )
checked the regulators on the main board and they seem stable ,
voltage outputs on the psu seem a tad low
12 v =11.8
5v =4.9
33v =31.8
And the main transformer is getting very warm (circled in yellow)
Borrowed pic just for reference

Am going to replace caps and then remeasure the outputs and will post some pics but just wondered if anyone had come across this one before ,did a search online and here but have found no info or repair kits
to see if there are any common faults .
Any input welcomed
Paul

Hi Dave
T-con was going to be next port of call but as you can see from pic of set there is a lot to take off to get to it
(excuse pics but kids have taken SD card from camera so had to use phone)

I have put on pics of tv when first started up and picture of the fault (about 10 mins to take effect)

Title: Re: DMTech LT32DT UPDATE
Post by: sabre504 on February 23, 2012,19:17:03
Right a quick update ,
had the unit running with the back off so i could see all the boards as it heated up in the hope of seeing any sparks or changes that were noticeable, it took 20 mins before anything happened with the picture.

As Dave had suggested i did check the lvds cable was seated ok before this and was fine but watched it move as the set got warm and twisted the tcon end plug so i pushed it back on and held it and no distortion  :thumbup:

Now taped in place it has been working trouble free for about 3 hours so thanks for the prod in the right direction Dave  :08:
