Hi,
Hello everyone, i'm new to this site
I have a Samsung LE40R87BDX TV, it had the 'Faulty Capacitor' problem and would just click when switched on.
I replaced the Capacitors on the power supply board as they were all leaking, now the TV starts up ok, but there is no sound from the speakers ( although there is sound from the headphone socket ) and i cant seem to tune in any channels.
If i put video into the scart connector i get a picture, but no sound. The menu's appear ok.
I have reset the TV to f actory defaults with no success on the sound, and checked the speakers are working.
Can these problems be caused by a corrupted eprom? i have heard the eprom can cause the TV not to start and wondered if it could cause sound not to work and channels not to tune??
Can anyone help? i hate seeing things go to waste and i'm determined to fix it.

Hi, thanks, i have been searching and reading, i have seen people saying the eeprom can cause the tv not to start even after having the caps replaced, i just wondered if the eeprom could cause sound problems? i could't find any topics relating to the eeprom and sound problems.

I replaced the eeprom and the tv now works fine,
bought the eeprom from ebay for 4.99.
