Title: Philips 32pf5321

Hi

I am having probems with my phiips 32pf5321 lcd tv.
When i power the tv on there is mutipe vertica ines that cover either haf or the full screen.
There is no sound and i cannot access the menu to see what channe i am on.
The lcd panel is manufactured by Sharp.
Can anyone help pease or give me an idea on where to start looking.

Thanks for the service manual.
The tv has now got no picture at all and the green power light is now permantely red.

is the backlight on?
you can see some brightness on front when the set is on.

or from the backside it is possible to see that the backlight is on.
if there is no backlight at all, you have to check the inverters.
these are part of the LCD-panel. These panels are replaced completely and send back to philips.

Hi Hansje
When i take the connector plug off the power board and plug it back in, the inverter powers up for about a second and then they go off.
There is a small amount of buzzing beforeb this happens.
Do you think it mayt be a power suppy faut to the inverter.
As i say sometimes the tv powers up with the a screen full of vertica lines and other times the standby ight wi go red and no picture at all.
Apparantly there is a fix on the euras tv engineers site but i do not have membership to the site.

Any Ideas?

I thing fault in inverter board 8)

Most of the time High voltage transformers goes faulty.
