Title: Acoustic solutions LCD tv switches on then off again!

Hi, this is my first post so I hope I'm in the right place! I've got an acoustic solutions ctvl32w3hd , when you press the on button the screen lights up as normal for about 2 seconds and then switches straight back off......any help would be massively appreciated! Thank u. Jan.

Two electrolytic capacitors cause many problems on a PSU (EC17 and EC18) both 10uF/450V

i opened it up and you were spot on!!!
do you know what type of capacitors they are  the type, tolerance and if its radial or axial?

You need 2 x Low esr radial caps 10uf 450v
Item number: 120758756977 on ebay if you want to go that route (2 days )

they are radial caps 10uf 450volt..had mine from RS COMPONENTS..trefforest s.wales.just down the road from me..

I use this forum a few times. No point in calling a TV guy round if you get the answer for free, it shouws what a group of trained amatures can do when they all get together.

Changed the capacitors!tv now switches  and works .....then realised that all the screen has internal watermarks....grrrr!!!! Im in Wales too guys, near Swansea!

How long ago m8?
Cos that area has changed completely over the years, its an area of Cardiff.

Its about 20-22 miles from me and a bit further from Chrissie.
