So I picked up this HP LCD HDTV on the cheap but I cant find the manuals for this tv anywhere!!The Tv does not turn on,the screen isn't broken. When the power button is pressed it light up bluish or green color. However no sound or video is heard. Its like the tv powers on but it doesnt.Anyone have this issue??And should I be checking the capacitors???
-
anyone have any insight on this issue???
-
Have you checked the caps & that you have a steady st-by voltage?
-
I have not yet.I am wondering if this tv is the same as the sharp model number just rebranded??Let me know.

Hello
It's a possibility, in the UK we don't see Hp larger sets, just monitors. If you take.the back off you'll be able.to tell from the main board. While.you're there you can check.the caps.

Alright So i Replaced 5 bad capacitors and now The tv led changes color to yellow. However no pictures or sound.Anyone have manual or way to check other issues??

Hello,
Do you have a steady stand by voltage?it could be that the psu isn't switching from the main board. Does the psu have any markings on?
How come you only have 1 entry against your name by the way?
Regards
Andy

Sorry to bring this thread back from the dead.I have been busy.Well I noticed the capacitors i replaced were bulging but now looking at other capacitors on the board no others are bulging but they all have a black sort of dried substance on top.Possible the rest of the capacitors are no good??and all need to be replaced.I tried looking for a power board for this tv no one seems to have it in stock.
Part number of the psu or board is 5604230Q01-W manufactured by HIPRO
Also how can I check if I have standby voltage??Anyone have schematic to this tv??
or any manuals.

anyone experience this problem??I should say this tv has no raster.Meaning the screen does not display a image.I cannot find a replacement power supply board anywhere.

You say a lot of the caps have a black dried substance on top of them.. Sounds to me like they have been leaking.. No? :dubbio: Try replacing those that have this black stuff on them, then go from there. Post a pic of the psu and caps.
