Title: Need help, Panasonic TH-50PX50U screen flickers

My Panasonic TH-50PX50U started getting a screen flicker when the DirecTV guide is displayed. It has gotten progressively worse in that it now will occur when there is a white background or white bar in the picture that is viewed.

I have run the on board diagnostic with no errors returned and there are no faults displayed when the TV is turned on (as in the red power light flashing an error code) per the service manual. Any ideas on what part might be failing?
