Anyone had one of these in recently? Its not long out of guarantee, its stuck in standby. Flashing standby indicator. Any stock faults before I delve in there?
Thanks

Just had a quick look at it now, its the Vestel 17pw26-4, usual culprits check ok, but I'm a bit suspicious of Q828, can't find much about it, can anyone identify it ? No bulging caps and no sign of blow up.

Hi looking at pdf its a 10L60CFP

I've substituted the PSU board with a known good vestel 17pw26-3 from another 32" set, the only difference is the -3 version has no socket for the switch. The set came on fine, so its definitely the PSU at fault.
The usual uf5404 fast recovery diode checks ok, but I need to substitute it with a new one, as it may be leaky. I've also replaced the 33uf 63v electrolytic c801, to no avail.
Anyone any ideas?

UF5404 replaced no change, standby light flashing continuously. There is no sign of anything obvious.

Do you change this two capacitors 12nF/630V (C-878 and C-xxx)
-
I haven't changed those 2 x 12nf capacitors yet, they are next on my list. I will change those today and post back.
Thanks Jordan

I changed C878 its a 22n poly cap in this set, and used a 1kv replacement, but the fault remained. I checked all the electrolytics with my esr meter and they were all low esr and no signs of distress. So then decided to replace the ballast control i/c FAN7711, this cured the fault fortunately.
Set is now working fine after a long soak test and is now fit for service again.
Thank you Jordan for your assistance, much appreciated.
