Hi all,
I have a 19" HITACHI 19LD2550B LCD TV that has no picture. Sound fine and all button commands work. There is no sign of picture or any backlight. Menu's cannot be seen either. When the set is turned on a slight hiss can be heard when picture should appear. I have checked connections but have noticed a slight burn on the PCB board on a microchip. All capacitors seem normal.. Would a power supply problem cause loss of picture. Tried a bright torch on screen and cannot see anything. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Check/replace two inverters transformers for resistance changes (should be around 760 R)

Ok, are these on the PCB board?

Your set has a Vestel 17IPS02-2 combined Power Supply Unit and Inverter. You will find the inverter transformers on this board. If those look OK, I would also check the output voltages of the PSU before going any further. The circuit diagrams shows what to expect where.
