Post by: GP ELECTRO on September 30, 2012,14:43:52
Hello is an expert on this forum for this Grundig CUC 1983 chassis model : MW82-100/9 Pal Plus . Power supply is OK (works on bulb) . When you start the unit with remote commander high voltage start for a few secundes and after thet the unit stuck in stand by. I have replaced vertical IC TDA4173 all elkos which are on + and - " K " line. Flyback transformer is OK, +D;+C; +A ... all voltage are OK and the unit after 2-3 secundes stuck in stand by and you cannot start it agin til the power cable is unpluged from ~220V. Service Manuel I have .

If anybody hes a idea where can be defect please to share this idea with me to help me to fix the problem in this unit
Thanks in advance for any good help  :sign0085:

Nice television, even if it is a CRT type. Your defect may be on the dynamic focus module, 2 clear/silver
colored capacitors C64001 and C64002. If these are present in your television, disconnect both and try the set again. If normal operation is resumed, renew those capacitors. They're rated at 8kV !

A bad practice, leaving parts disconnected ! Especially FSG 4001 which is the Spark Gap ?
Try disconnecting the 200V rail up to the picture tube base board and see if the TV turns on and stays on.
May have destroyed one of the RGB amp chips on the CRT board, IC24000, IC24030 or IC24070.Also check the 200V rectifier. It could be shorted. However, the possibilities are immense.

The 200V rectifier is OK, when +200V is disconnected from RGB board the TV set also stuck in stand by after 2 seconds. I have chacked the both capacitors which made  " L' " line but without result .
The last what I would to do is to replace all high voltage capacitors near flyback transformer (transformer I have chacked with HR 100Hz chacker and it said that is good) after that if again stuck in stand by than I have not more any idea about fault location

Check C-6009 on PSU for dry joint

Mr.Jordan thanks for your reply, but dry joint on C6009 is not the the problem a week ago I have checked this.
Today or tomorrow I will received all high voltage capacitors near flyback transformer maybe some of them is defect. I am not shure but I will try

Those capacitors would be my next suggestion, especially if they're the grey, brick shaped ones. they suffer from dry joints or can go open circuit.
