Hi Folks,
Got a replacement Orion CMF108B Main/T-con, but can't seem to easily release the flexies 'T-con to screen'
Most T-cons have liftable securing flaps but this one doesn't, and struggling pulling one out, feel there's a better method as suspect couldn't push the flexies back in.
Obvious probably, but I can't suss it - Attach piccy - Thanks - Chris.

good luck

Hi Andrasoni,
This problem is a favourite with this set, OK S/by supply but no go - no one seems to know, even on Quuq.
Best of luck, if I manage to change the Main/T-con without breaking anything and it then works, will gloat
on Quuq - Chris.

OK, thanks very much Chris, all the best from Romania! :051bye:

Look-let bi SHARP used equal chassis as your Orion

Hi Jordan, and thanks,
Note your chassis has two screen flexies T-con to screen, mine uses a combined Main/T-con with 4 flexies and difficult to replace due to socket design.
Thanks anyway - Chris.

Hi Chris
These sockets work the same as the ordinary ones, but the flap is at the back of the socket (the brown strip on the pic) they can be quite stiff to lift up.

Hi Daz,
Thanks muchly for that.
Workshop now near freezing, and every time I touch old plastic, it breaks off - So after breaking one trying to release it, thought to seek advice.
Would use a heater but tend then to relax with Radio 4 and the odd (decent) MP4 video.
Cold tends to concentrate the mind on survival essentials.
Thanks again Daz - Not caught yer panel list yet - Chris.
Later - Main/T-con fitted - set now OK,
So 'Set with S/by supply OK', but 'no go' problem sorted, well, for some if not all - Thanks Folks.
