Hi All
I have a sony bravia 5 years old with a picture problem. The picture has a green hue to it on black back grounds and peoples shiny hair show green tint.I cant get rid of the tint with the adjustments. When i got the tv there was no picture and I fitted a t-con board.does anyone know how to fix this or is it the panel on its way out.
thanks in advance

Sony LCDs are very particular about the T-Con replacement. Are you sure it's precisely the same part #.
Connect another TV to the AV OUT sockets on the Sony and see if it displays the same error. If NO, then the main board should be OK and the fault will lie with the T-Con or the panel. Given Sony's track record on panel failures, my money is on the panel, but try another T-Con if possible.

Hi Downunder
Thanks for your reply, you were right to check the t con board.I bought the board from e-bay, after checking the listing pics my board was exactly the same as the pictures. I didn't check it when it arrived and just installed it,on your advice i checked the board and found it was missing a chip and other components, maybe the board was for the 26 inch version. The seller exchanged for the right board and tv is now back to normal,no more cartoon faces or green hair.
Many thanks :c017:
