Title: Philips 37PFL5603D/10 negative psychedelic image

TV has been working fine to date. However, now when switching on TV it produces a negative psychedelic image. All else works fine. Reloaded same = latest firmware. Reseated all connectors. Reset display option NVM code. Looked for obvious physical defects.

Saw this (http://www.supportforum.philips.com/en/showthread.php?3033-Philips-42PES0001D-10-off-color-error-Panel-broken/page2) and this (http://www.tv.quuq.org/forum/index.php?topic=2751.0) post on different TVs with similar symptoms suggesting faulty T-con board. Opted for a 2nd user T370HW02 V402 37T04-C02 T-con board replacement rather than try to replace the AS15-F smd chip as I do not have the right soldering kit for surface mount repair.

Used this (http://elektrotanya.com/philips_37pfl5603d_chassis_q522.1_e_la_sm.pdf/download.html) service manual to disassemble the TV and carefully replace the T-con board.

Results were:

First T-con board: Negative psychedelic image. Sound and everything else works fine. Fitted this 4 times now and get the same result.

Second T-con board: When switched on first time after T-con board replacement picture is fine (good colours but possibly a little dark) for about 1 second then screen goes black. Subsequent times when switching on screen is black. Sound is OK. Fitted this 3 times now and get the same result.

Would you say that the 2nd T-con board is faulty also or could the problem be elsewhere?

Yes second board sounds faulty,i changed one this week for the exact same fault instant cure of the picture fault.Try and locate another T-Con board.Hope this helps.

have you put the correct part number  in on tcon

Yes, both original and replacement T-con cards are T370HW02 V402 37T04-C02. Obviously with a different serial number, but apart from that they look identical and have the same model number printed on them.

hi only thing you have 2 faulty tcon panels try EMOS for replacement
