found this during a google search
I have the LG 42 LB5D. I dont know how yours works but mine has 2 serivce menus. To access them on my set I hold down menu on the remote till it asks me a password then I hold menu on the TV and that gets me into the "confusing" menu if I exit that and do those steps again the EZ setup menu comes up which allows me to make more advanced tweaks than the picture settings in the main menu. Hope this helps.

On my 37" LG i need an ON-signal from mainboard to psu, to get 3.4V.
Do you have this on-signal?
