hi, could anyone tell me why i wouldnt be able to read any voltages coming straight off the transformer coils(transformer good)secondary side.i cant get the earth either.(see picture)using a multimeter.also the voltage on the primary side is -ve dc.the psu is from a lcd tv

ok so you have 4.2v across c857 which is the standby psu. what are the other voltages out of the main psu. and what is the main problem with the set. any lights or noises.

thanks for reply, when i plug in the only voltage present is 3.6-4.2v standby ..when i have managed to get it to switch on all the voltages are ok.when it wont switch on i get 3.6-4.2v on standby,if i turn it on i get a quick flash of approx 2.6 v on the 'power on' terminal and then it pulses that same 2.6v every second...with the power on but the power board disconnected from the main boardi get 4.99 v on standby,is it normal for the voltage drop from 4.99 to 3.6-4.2(set in off state),thanks
