To access factory mode, press menu, then press 062596, then menu again. Then select "factory" item. Not aware of a reset in there but then I've never looked.
Do you have picture, sound or is it purely a remote control problem? Cant read between your lines.

the remote control checks out ok as we have tested it on another sharp tv.
it seems that the tv recieving the reomte signals as the tv led flashes to reponse to the remote but npo functions work.
it was in storage for a few years and i assume when it was switched on it scanned for chanenels and so how the eprom has been corrupted.
i could repalce the eprom or replace the main av board but the customer does not want to pay over the odds as you can but a set for £179.00 they are crap but for £179.00 you get what you pay for.
many thanks for your reply..regards...buggsyu1 :c017:

You had to check the remote carefully.
It should look like the picture.
Another Sharp remote could get the led to flash,
but the codes dont match.
Under the SHARP sign there should be RL57B.
